Novak Djokovic after Taking the Crown of Australian Open

Novak Djokovic is the undisputed king of the Australian Open for an unprecedented seven time after he eliminated Raphael Nadal’s in their 53rd battle, which finished 6: 3, 6: 2, 6: 3 in just two hours 6 minutes. For the first time in his career, Matador lost a final without winning a single set, and ironically, their battle at the “Rod Laver Arena” was the shortest game ever after 2012 record of 5 hours and 53 minutes.

This final was expected with high interest in the World of Tennis. It was promising to become a real clash of titans, however we saw only Djokovic’s brilliant performance. Here is what both players said after the match:

“Was unbelievable the way that he played, no doubt about that. But at the same time is true that physically I was not able. Five months without competing, having that big challenge in front of me, I needed something else. ” explained Nadal.

“In semi-finals and finals, I think I made 15 unforced errors in total in two matches. It’s quite pleasantly surprising to myself, as well. Under the circumstances, it was truly a perfect match.” said the champion. “It ranks right at the top” added Djokovic.
