Cup Semi-Finals and a Premier League Treat

While there are no Champions League fixtures this week, that doesn’t mean we won’t have midweek football! Country cuptournaments are gaining momentum across Europe, and several important semi-finals will be played in Italy and Spain, while Premier League matches continue in the UK.

After a disappointing performance Juventus is out of Coppa Italia. This is great news for other teams, as each of the remaining four semi-final competitors have pretty much equal chances of taking home the trophy. The clash between Lazio and Milan will be playing today, followed by another match between Fiorentina and Atalanta tomorrow.

In Spain, another four teams are still fighting for the Copa del Reytrophy, and one more El Classico will be played onWednesday. Because of the draw result in Barcelona, the first finalist will be decided in Madrid where both teams have similar chances of winning. The other semi-final will be played in Valencia, where the home team is a strong favorite against Betis.

While other countries continue playing cup games, England will play its 28th round of matches. Fact: After 27 games in Premier League Tottenham still hasn’t had a single draw result! Can we expect a draw tomorrow in their clash against Chelsea?
